Ashton Hotard

Owner • Director • Speech-Language Pathologist

Meet Ashton, the owner of Jubilee Therapy! She founded Jubilee Therapy in November of 2018 to bring better quality of life and help brighten the future for the kids in the community. Ashton is originally from Southlake, Texas and completed her bachelor’s degree at the University of Mississippi, where she was a member of the Ole Miss Rebelettes.

She completed her Masters in Speech-Language Pathology from The University of South Alabama. When not at the clinic, she enjoys being outdoors with her family, cooking, gardening, and traveling. Ashton has a passion for helping children reach their maximum potential, and we are so thankful for the leadership and guidance she brings to Jubilee!

Kara Brister

Speech-Language Pathologist

Kara has been a speech-language pathologist for 22 years and has spent the last two practicing here at Jubilee Therapy. She attended Baylor University and Louisiana Tech University, where she earned her master’s degree.

Outside of work, she enjoys watching her two children play sports, spending time with her animals, and traveling. Her favorite aspect of work is working with a team that makes everyday fun and enjoyable. Everyone works together to make sure every patient has the best chance to meet their goals.

Karen Bourne

Speech-Language Pathologist

Karen is a native of Kentucky and moved to Vicksburg in 1992. She has been on staff at Jubilee since May of 2023. Karen obtained her bachelors from Murray State University and her Masters of Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Louisiana Monroe.

One of the main reasons she loves Jubilee so much is the staff. They all bring something different to the table that makes a unique difference in each child. Karen spends her free time doing cross fit, organizing, and spending time with her two sons, two dogs, and two cats.

Aly Scott

Speech-Language Pathologist

Aly Scott received her undergraduate degree from Delta State University and earned her Masters of Speech-Language Pathology from Jackson State University. She began at Jubilee in June of 2001. Before joining Jubilee, she was a SLP for the Vicksburg Warren School District for 7 years.

Aly enjoys spending time with her two sons and daughter, and being outdoors. Aly has a passion for helping each client improve their communication and allowing them to reach their greatest potential. She loves the diversity among every patient and being able to create relationships with them.

Lydia Dotson

Speech-Language Pathologist

Lydia is originally from Vicksburg, MS where she is a graduate of Warren Central High School. She earned her bachelors from Delta State University and Masters of Speech-Language Pathology from Jackson State University. Lydia has been practicing at Jubilee Therapy since October of 2022.

She loves early intervention and the joy she is able to share with parents as they watch their child’s progress. Also, what makes the job so special is the amazing ladies she gets to work and collaborate with. Lydia has 3 daughters and enjoys attending worship with her family, reading, and baking.

Melanie Bates

Speech-Language Pathologist

Melanie is a certified Speech-language Pathologist and has practiced at Jubilee since August of 2022. She is a Vicksburg native who received her bachelor’s degree from Louisiana Tech University and her master’s degree from Texas Christian University.

Melanie loves seeing the progress that each child makes and watching them have fun while doing it. Melanie has one son and 2 dogs and likes to spend her time reading mysteries and gardening. Fun fact, Melanie has a twin sister! We are super grateful to have Melanie as a member of the Jubilee staff.

Elizabeth Ballard

Speech-Language Pathologist

Elizabeth received her undergraduate degree from Mississippi College. She earned a Masters in Communication Disorders from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Masters of Education in School Psychometry from Mississippi College. She has been a speech-language pathologist for Jubilee Therapy since April of 2023.

Elizabeth enjoys traveling, gardening, and being with her 2 children and 3 pet children. She has even been to the Arctic Circle and seen the Midnight Sun. Her favorite aspect of work is being able to watch the children progress in their communication skills. She also likes being a part of a strong group of team members that ensure each client feels loved and welcomed.

Heather Green

Occupational Therapist

Heather is our occupational therapist and has been with Jubilee Therapy since 2023. She is originally from Pearl, MS where she attended Pearl High School. She went to undergrad at The University of Southern Mississippi and earned her Master of Occupational Therapy from the University of Louisiana Monroe.

Heather loves photography and being with her family and dog. What makes the job so special to her is the kids. They each have a unique personality and make every day brighter. She also cherishes the special group she works with and the wonderful team approach they have.

Natalie Dorbeck

Occupational Therapy Assistant

Natalie is our certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, and we are so thankful to have her at Jubilee Therapy. She is a new resident of Vicksburg and began at Jubilee in August of 2023. She attended the University of Southern Mississippi for her undergraduate degree and was a member of the women’s volleyball team. She obtained her certification as an occupational therapy assistant from Pearl River Community College.

She enjoys discovering new places with her husband and two daughters. Natalie loves Jubilee because she is able to work alongside people who share the same passion as her and genuinely love and care for their clients.

Julie Tullos

Literacy Interventionist

Julie is a literacy specialist helping students learn to read using the Dubard Association Method. She served as a teacher for 17 years in the Jackson area before joining Jubilee in 2021. She is a native of Clinton, MS where she went to high school, and earned her degree from Mississippi College.

Julie enjoys reading, solving puzzles, and being with her 4 children and 7 grandchildren. Julie’s favorite part about the job is spending everyday with such loving and encouraging co-workers and seeing the progress of each child. She uses her passion of pediatric therapy to help every child fall in love with reading.

Meredith McRight

Literacy Interventionist

Meredith is our reading instructionist and has been with Jubilee since March of 2023. She is from Greenville, Mississippi and received her undergraduate degree from Delta State University and her masters from Arkansas State University. Meredith is currently working towards her Dubard Association Method Certification.

She has three sons, 1 granddaughter, and one grandson. In her free time, Meredith loves to exercise, read, and spend time with her loved ones. She loves being able to make a difference in each child’s life every day and meeting the needs of others. Meredith brings so much joy to our Jubilee family.

Cynna-Rose Vierling

Lead Registered Behavior Technician

Cynna-Rose is the lead Registered Behavior Technician and joined Jubilee in October of 2022. Before becoming an RBT, she was a professional makeup artist for runway makeup and various famous celebrities. She is originally from Chicago, Illinois and earned her degree from Baylor University.

She loves to read, travel, watch movies, and spend time with her family and 6 kitties. She loves working at Jubilee because of the family atmosphere. Everyone gets along, supports each other, and has one another’s back.

Missy Broome

ABA Therapist

Missy is a BCBA providing Applied Behavior Analysis therapy for children with Autsim. She has been on the Jubilee Therapy staff since 2022. Before working at Jubilee, she was a special education teacher for VWSD. She was born and raised in Vicksburg and earned her bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State University. She obtained her Master’s in Special Education from the University of Southern Mississippi and her Master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of Cincinnati.

She loves being outdoors whether its running, listening to live music, or watching sporting events. Missy has three children and two dogs. She loves learning each child’s story and being able to develop a strong relationship with their family.

Kristy

Scheduling Coordinator

Kristy is the scheduling coordinator here at Jubilee Therapy and began in February of 2023. She is originally from Texas but moved to Vicksburg as a child. She graduated from Vicksburg High School and then attended Hinds Community College.

When she is not scheduling appointments and answering phones, she enjoys crafting, cooking, and spending time with her two kids and dog. We are so thankful to have her smiling face greet each patient that walks through the doors.

Natalie Williams

Billing Coordinator

Natalie began working at Jubilee in November of 2021 and serves as the clinic’s Billing Coordinator. She was born and raised in Vicksburg where she went to Warren Central High School and then attended Virginia College.

Natalie has one son and likes to spend her time watching crime shows and doing makeup. As billing coordinator, she enjoys learning new things about insurance and getting to interact with patients.

Carrie Meyer

Patient Account Manager

Carrie is the patient account manager and has been with Jubilee Therapy since October of 2019. She graduated from Mississippi State University with a Chemical Engineering degree; however, this career change has been one of her best decisions yet.

Getting to work with people that feel like family and witnessing the impact being made on children’s lives and in the community is what makes the job so special. She loves reading, painting, and time with her family and rescue dog. Jubilee would not run smoothly without Carrie!

Kempseyann Robinson

Speech-Language Pathologist

Kempseyann is a native of Clinton, MS and currently resides there with her husband, Dillon and cat, Calista. She has been on staff at Jubilee since June 2024 and loves making connections with all her clients. Kempseyann received her bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Mississippi University for Women. She enjoys watching her clients make progress towards their goals and reach their fullest potential in all areas of communication.

Kempseyann enjoys collaborating with other SLPs and OTs at Jubilee to encourage all areas of development in each child. She greatly enjoys being part of the teamwork that makes Jubilee Therapy such a special place to work. When not at the clinic, Kempseyann enjoys reading, taking walks, hanging out with family, and playing with her cat.

Amber Brewer

Occupational Therapist

Amber Brewer is a dedicated occupational therapist at Jubilee Therapy, where she has been helping children thrive here since 2024. Amber is from Vicksburg, MS. Amber completed her undergraduate studies at Mississippi College and graduated from the University of Mississippi Medical School in 2015 with a degree in Occupational Therapy. Amber is passionate about her work, especially the opportunity to watch children grow and master skills they’ve worked so hard to achieve.

Outside of work, Amber enjoys camping, traveling, crafting, and spending quality time with her husband and two children.

Presley Jackson

Speech Therapist

Originally from Inverness, Mississippi, Presley graduated from Indianola Academy before earning a bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Delta State University. She went on to complete her master’s degree in Communication Disorders at LSU Health-Shreveport.

She is passionate about helping children find their voices and is equally dedicated to supporting and educating families throughout the therapy journey. In her free time, she enjoys shopping, spending time with her dog Ollie, and soaking up quality time with her fiancé. The couple is excited to be getting married in October.

Sandy Raines

Physical Therapist

Sandy is a Vicksburg native and a graduate of the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where she earned her degree in Physical Therapy.

With over 20 years of physical therapy experience, Sandy is passionate about helping children grow stronger and more confident through movement. One of her greatest joys as a therapist is watching a child take their first steps.

Outside of the clinic, Sandy enjoys spending time with her family and making meaningful memories with the ones she loves.

Brooke Marshall

Office Manager

Brooke Marshall is a lifelong resident of Vicksburg, MS, and a proud graduate of Hinds Community College (October 2012). She has spent four years working with children and loves being part of the team at Jubilee Therapy, where the patients and atmosphere make every day rewarding.

Outside of work, Brooke enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids, as well as family and friends. Her favorite hobbies include boat riding, being outdoors, and side-by-side riding.

Kristen Dunaway

Occupational Therapist

Kristen is a native of Vicksburg, Mississippi. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Mississippi and went on to complete her doctorate in Occupational Therapy at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

With over two years of experience as an occupational therapist, Kristen is passionate about helping children gain independence and confidence through meaningful, play-based interventions.

Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her goats and hunting for hidden gems while thrift shopping.
