Pediatric Occupational Therapy at Jubilee Therapy
At Jubilee Therapy, our pediatric occupational therapists help children develop the skills they need to thrive in their everyday lives. Occupational therapy focuses on helping children gain independence and confidence in key areas such as self-care, fine motor coordination, sensory processing, play, and participation in school and home routines.
We take a play-based, child-centered approach to therapy, using engaging activities that target your child’s unique needs and developmental goals. Our therapists work closely with families to ensure that therapy is meaningful, functional, and supportive of each child’s full potential.
Whether your child needs help with handwriting, feeding, emotional regulation, or sensory challenges, we are here to help them grow and succeed.
We commonly address:
Fine motor skills (grasping, cutting, writing)
Sensory processing challenges
Self-care skills (dressing, feeding, toileting)
Visual motor and visual perceptual development
Handwriting and pre-writing skills
Emotional regulation and behavior support
Attention, focus, and transitions
Delays due to developmental conditions such as Autism, ADHD, or Down syndrome
At Jubilee Therapy, we believe in celebrating progress—big and small—and partnering with families to help every child flourish in their own way.
Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) at Jubilee Therapy
Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) is a specialized, evidence-based therapy approach designed to help children with motor delays and neurological diagnoses improve their strength, coordination, and overall functional movement. At Jubilee Therapy, our trained therapists use DMI techniques to guide children through purposeful, repetitive exercises that stimulate the brain and body to promote new movement patterns.
DMI is especially beneficial for children who need support with gross motor milestones such as rolling, crawling, sitting, standing, and walking. Each session is tailored to your child’s current abilities, with an emphasis on challenging them just enough to build confidence and progress safely.
DMI is often used with children who have:
Developmental delays
Hypotonia (low muscle tone)
Cerebral palsy
Down syndrome
Genetic disorders
Other neurological conditions
Therapy sessions are active, engaging, and rooted in neuroplasticity—the brain’s ability to form new connections. With consistent practice and therapist support, DMI can lead to meaningful changes in how your child moves and interacts with the world around them.
At Jubilee Therapy, we are proud to offer this innovative intervention as part of our commitment to helping children reach their highest potential—one movement at a time.
